Udupi, Sept. 05: Teachers Day was celebrated herein Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Udupi, Cherkady. Dr. Shankaranarayana Bhat, former Associate Director (Faculty Development & Welfare) at MIT Manipal, who arrived as the chief guest for the program, said, “The role played by teachers in shaping the future of children is commendable. Teachers should provide opportunities for children’s creativity and develop a questioning attitude in children. If teachers develop a good relationship with children, children will learn on their own. If they like the teacher, they will like the subject they teach. Teachers should tell valuable stories to children.” The teachers shared their experiences of their teaching career. Cultural programs such as group singing and dance performances by teachers and farces by office staff were staged.
ಉಡುಪಿ, ಸೆ. 5: ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ವಿದ್ಯಾಕೇಂದ್ರ – ಉಡುಪಿ, ಚೇರ್ಕಾಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಯಾಗಿ ಆಗಮಿಸಿದ ಎಂಐಟಿ ಮಣಿಪಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಜಿ ಅಸೋಸಿಯೇಟ್ ಡೈರೆಕ್ಟರ್ (ಫ್ಯಾಕಲ್ಟಿ ಡೆವಲಪ್ಮೆಂಟ್ & ವೆಲ್ಫೇರ್) ಆಗಿರುವ ಡಾ. ಶಂಕರನಾರಾಯಣ ಭಟ್ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ “ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಭವಿಷ್ಯ ರೂಪಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು ವಹಿಸುವ ಪಾತ್ರ ಶ್ಲಾಘನೀಯವಾದುದು. ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಸೃಜನಶೀಲತೆಗೆ ಅವಕಾಶವನ್ನು ಕಲ್ಪಿಸಿ, ಮಕ್ಕಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆ ಕೇಳುವ ಮನೋಭಾವ ಬೆಳೆಸಬೇಕು. ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು ಮಕ್ಕಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಉತ್ತಮ ಬಾಂಧವ್ಯ ಬೆಳೆಸಿಕೊಂಡರೆ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ತಾನಾಗಿಯೇ ಕಲಿಯುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು ಇಷ್ಟವಾದರೆ, ಅವರು ಬೋಧಿಸುವ ವಿಷಯ ತಾನಾಗಿ ಇಷ್ಟವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಮೌಲ್ಯಯುತ ಕಥೆ ಹೇಳಬೇಕು” ಎಂದರು. ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು ತಮ್ಮ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕ ವೃತ್ತಿ ಜೀವನದ ಅನುಭವವನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡರು. ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರಿಂದ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರ ಮಹತ್ವ ಸಾರುವ ಸಮೂಹ ಗಾಯನ ಮತ್ತು ನೃತ್ಯ ರೂಪಕಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಆಫೀಸ್ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ವರ್ಗದವರಿಂದ ಪ್ರಹಸನಗಳಂತಹ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳು ಮೂಡಿಬಂದವು.
