Udupi, Feb. 13: Shivratri festival and Sarojini Naidu Jayanti were celebrated herein Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Udupi, Cherkady. The students were given a detailed introduction to the life and achievements of Sarojini Naidu.Then, the Shiva puja rituals began on the occasion of the Shivaratri festival.The students explained the special features of the Shivaratri festival, background stories related to the festival and the way the festival is celebrated.The students performed group songs and dances praising Shiva.
ಉಡುಪಿ, ಫೆ. 13: ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ವಿದ್ಯಾಕೇಂದ್ರ – ಉಡುಪಿ, ಚೇರ್ಕಾಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಶಿವರಾತ್ರಿ ಹಬ್ಬ ಮತ್ತು ಸರೋಜಿನಿ ನಾಯ್ಡು ಜಯಂತಿ ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಸರೋಜಿನಿ ನಾಯ್ಡುರವರ ಜೀವನ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಧನೆ ಕುರಿತಂತೆ ಸವಿಸ್ತಾರವಾದ ಪರಿಚಯವಿತ್ತರು. ತದನಂತರ ಶಿವರಾತ್ರಿ ಹಬ್ಬದ ಆಚರಣೆಯ ಪ್ರಯುಕ್ತ ಶಿವನ ಪೂಜಾ ವಿಧಿ ವಿಧಾನಗಳಿಂದ ಆರಂಭಗೊಂಡಿತು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಶಿವರಾತ್ರಿ ಹಬ್ಬದ ವಿಶೇಷತೆ, ಹಬ್ಬಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆ ಕಥೆಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಹಬ್ಬವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸುವ ಬಗೆಯ ಕುರಿತು ತಿಳಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಂದ ಶಿವನ ಮಹಿಮೆ ಸಾರುವ ಸಮೂಹ ಗಾಯನ ಮತ್ತು ನೃತ್ಯರೂಪಕಗಳು ಮೂಡಿಬಂದವು.
