Udupi, July 18: The 19th Vidya Bharati Karnataka Udupi District Level Sports Meet began at Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra- Udupi, Cherkady.
- The programme was jointly organised by Vidya Bharati Karnataka, Udupi District, Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra and Rashtrotthana PU College.
- Students from various Vidya Bharati schools of the district participated enthusiastically.
- The programme was inaugurated by Sri Prasanna Shenoy, Joint Secretary, Krida Bharati Karnataka (Southern Region).
- In his inaugural address, he spoke about the importance of sports in instilling character, discipline and determination. He said that the playground is a place where students learn valuable life lessons along with the joy of winning. He encouraged the participants to give their best through dedication and hard work.
- The programme was presided over by Sri Mahesh Haikady, District Secretary, Vidya Bharati Karnataka, Udupi. In his presidential address, he called upon the students to accept both victory and defeat with the same attitude. He said that sports help in developing self-confidence, courage, discipline and teamwork.
- Students from various schools participated enthusiastically in the sports meet.
ಉಡುಪಿ, ಜು.18: ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ವಿದ್ಯಾಕೇಂದ್ರ- ಉಡುಪಿ, ಚೆರ್ಕಾಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ 19ನೇ ವಿದ್ಯಾಭಾರತಿ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಉಡುಪಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಮಟ್ಟದ ಕ್ರೀಡಾಕೂಟವು ಚೇರ್ಕಾಡಿಯ ಆರಂಭವಾಯಿತು.
- ಇದನ್ನು ವಿದ್ಯಾಭಾರತಿ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ, ಉಡುಪಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆ, ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ವಿದ್ಯಾಕೇಂದ್ರ ಮತ್ತು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ಪಿಯು ಕಾಲೇಜು ಜಂಟಿಯಾಗಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿದ್ದವು.
- ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ವಿವಿಧ ವಿದ್ಯಾಭಾರತಿ ಶಾಲೆಗಳ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಉತ್ಸಾಹದಿಂದ ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು.
- ಕ್ರೀಡಾಕೂಟವನ್ನು ಕ್ರೀಡಾ ಭಾರತಿ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ (ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಪ್ರದೇಶ) ಇದರ ಜಂಟಿ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಪ್ರಸನ್ನ ಶೆಣೈ ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಿದರು.
- ಉದ್ಘಾಟನಾ ಭಾಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಚಾರಿತ್ರ್ಯ, ಶಿಸ್ತು, ಸಂಕಲ್ಪ ಬೆಳೆಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ರೀಡೆಯ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಕುರಿತು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಗೆದ್ದ ಖುಷಿಯ ಜತೆಗೆ ಅಮೂಲ್ಯವಾದ ಬದುಕಿನ ಪಾಠಗಳನ್ನು ಕಲಿಯುವ ತಾಣವೇ ಆಟದ ಮೈದಾನ ಎಂದರು. ಸಮರ್ಪಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ಕಠಿಣ ಪರಿಶ್ರಮದ ಮೂಲಕ ತಮ್ಮ ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮವಾದದ್ದನ್ನು ನೀಡುವಂತೆ ಅವರು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸುವವರನ್ನು ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸಿದರು.
- ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆಯನ್ನು ವಿದ್ಯಾಭಾರತಿ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ, ಉಡುಪಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಗಳಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಮಹೇಶ್ ಹೈಕಾಡಿ ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ತಮ್ಮ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷೀಯ ಭಾಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಸೋಲು-ಗೆಲುವು ಎರಡನ್ನೂ ಒಂದೇ ಮನೋಭಾವದಿಂದ ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಕರೆ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಕ್ರೀಡೆಗಳು ಆತ್ಮವಿಶ್ವಾಸ, ಸ್ಥೈರ್ಯ, ಶಿಸ್ತು, ಸಾಂಘಿಕ ಕೆಲಸಗಳನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸಲು ಸಹಕಾರಿಯಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದರು.
- ಕ್ರೀಡಾಕೂಟದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿವಿಧ ಶಾಲೆಗಳ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಉತ್ಸಾಹದಿಂದ ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಂಡರು.
