Udupi, Aug. 15: The 80th Independence Day was celebrated at Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Udupi and Rashtrotthana P.U. College. Lieutenant Commander Deepak Puttaraj (Retd.), Indian Navy, graced the program. Vishruth spoke on the significance of Independence Day and highlighted the lives and contributions of Sri Aurobindo Ghosh and Krantiveer Sangolli Rayanna. Addressing the gathering, the chief guest shared memorable experiences from his naval career and encouraged the students to work with determination, discipline and honesty. Recalling the message of the Bhagavad Gita, “Karma karo, phal ki chinta mat karo,” he urged everyone to focus on their duties instead of being too concerned about the results. He stressed that small, positive efforts can bring about significant changes in life. In his presidential address, Secretary of the Managing Committee Sri Rishiraj spoke about India’s progress towards a self-reliant India, especially in the defence sector. He encouraged the youth to pursue higher education in India and contribute meaningfully to the development of the nation. In the cultural programme, P.U. College students presented a patriotic song and a group dance, while school students presented a patriotic song, a dance drama depicting the life and bravery of Sangolli Rayanna and an impressive yoga dance that beautifully combined yoga and dance.
ಉಡುಪಿ, ಆ. 15: ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ವಿದ್ಯಾಕೇಂದ್ರ – ಉಡುಪಿ ಮತ್ತು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ಪಿ.ಯು. ಕಾಲೇಜಿನಲ್ಲಿ 80ನೇ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಭಾರತೀಯ ನೌಕಾಪಡೆಯ ಲೆಫ್ಟಿನೆಂಟ್ ಕಮಾಂಡರ್ ದೀಪಕ್ ಪುಟ್ಟರಾಜ್ (ನಿವೃತ್ತ) ಆಗಮಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ವಿಶ್ರುತ್ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ದಿನದ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಕುರಿತು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀ ಅರಬಿಂದೋ ಘೋಷ್ ಮತ್ತು ಕ್ರಾಂತಿವೀರ ಸಂಗೊಳ್ಳಿ ರಾಯಣ್ಣ ಅವರ ಜೀವನ ಮತ್ತು ಕೊಡುಗೆಗಳನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ ತೋರಿಸಿದರು. ಸಭೆಯನ್ನುದ್ದೇಶಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳು ತಮ್ಮ ನೌಕಾ ವೃತ್ತಿಜೀವನದ ಸ್ಮರಣೀಯ ಅನುಭವಗಳನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡರು ಮತ್ತು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ದೃಢನಿಶ್ಚಯ, ಶಿಸ್ತು ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಾಮಾಣಿಕತೆಯಿಂದ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಲು ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸಿದರು. ಭಗವದ್ಗೀತೆಯ ಸಂದೇಶವನ್ನು ನೆನಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾ, “ಕರ್ಮ್ ಕರೋ, ಫಲ್ ಕಿ ಚಿಂತಾ ಮತ್ ಕರೋ,” ಅವರು ಫಲಿತಾಂಶಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಕಾಳಜಿ ವಹಿಸುವ ಬದಲು ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರೂ ತಮ್ಮ ಕರ್ತವ್ಯಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಗಮನಹರಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಒತ್ತಾಯಿಸಿದರು. ಸಣ್ಣ, ಸಕಾರಾತ್ಮಕ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಗಳು ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಗಮನಾರ್ಹ ಬದಲಾವಣೆಗಳನ್ನು ತರಬಹುದು ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಒತ್ತಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು. ತಮ್ಮ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷೀಯ ಭಾಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ, ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಾಪಕ ಸಮಿತಿಯ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಋಷಿರಾಜ್ ಅವರು ಆತ್ಮನಿರ್ಭರ ಭಾರತ ಕಡೆಗೆ, ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ ರಕ್ಷಣಾ ವಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರತದ ಪ್ರಗತಿಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು. ಅವರು ಯುವಕರು ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ಉನ್ನತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯಲು ಮತ್ತು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರದ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗೆ ಅರ್ಥಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಕೊಡುಗೆ ನೀಡಲು ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸಿದರು. ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಿ.ಯು. ಕಾಲೇಜು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ದೇಶಭಕ್ತಿ ಗೀತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಗುಂಪು ನೃತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತಪಡಿಸಿದರೆ, ಶಾಲಾ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ದೇಶಭಕ್ತಿ ಗೀತೆ, ಸಂಗೊಳ್ಳಿ ರಾಯಣ್ಣನ ಜೀವನ ಮತ್ತು ಶೌರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಚಿತ್ರಿಸುವ ನೃತ್ಯ ನಾಟಕ ಮತ್ತು ಯೋಗ ಮತ್ತು ನೃತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಸುಂದರವಾಗಿ ಸಂಯೋಜಿಸಿದ ಪ್ರಭಾವಶಾಲಿ ಯೋಗ ನೃತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತಪಡಿಸಿದರು.
