Udupi, Mar. 4: Holi festival was celebrated in Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Udupi, Cherkady. The students spoke in detail about the background of Holi festival and the way it is celebrated. The students sang a group song celebrating the Holi festival. The students and teachers celebrated the festival symbolically by applying colours to each other. Holika Dahan was performed in the school grounds in the afternoon. The students formed teams according to their channels, formed pyramids, broke coloured pots and performed stunts. Then all the students and teachers celebrated by sharing colors with each other and stepping to the songs celebrating Holi.
ಉಡುಪಿ, ಮಾ. 4: ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ವಿದ್ಯಾಕೇಂದ್ರ – ಉಡುಪಿ, ಚೆರ್ಕಾಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋಳಿ ಹಬ್ಬವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಹೋಳಿ ಹಬ್ಬದ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆ ಮತ್ತು ಆಚರಿಸುವ ಬಗೆಯ ಕುರಿತು ವಿಸ್ತಾರವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಹೋಳಿ ಹಬ್ಬದ ಸಂಭ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಸಾರುವ ಸಮೂಹಗೀತೆಯನ್ನು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಹಾಡಿದರು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಮತ್ತು ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು ಪರಸ್ಪರ ಬಣ್ಣ ಹಚ್ಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದರ ಮೂಲಕ ಹಬ್ಬವನ್ನು ಸಾಂಕೇತಿಕವಾಗಿ ಆಚರಿಸಿದರು. ಮಧ್ಯಾಹ್ನದ ಅವಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಶಾಲಾ ಮೈದಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋಲಿಕಾ ದಹನವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಲಾಯಿತು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯರು ತಮ್ಮ ವಾಹಿನಿಗಳ ಅನುಸಾರ ತಂಡವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಕೊಂಡು, ಪಿರಮಿಡ್ ರಚಿಸಿ, ಬಣ್ಣದ ಮಡಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಒಡೆದು ಸಾಹಸ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಿದರು. ತದನಂತರ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು ಪರಸ್ಪರ ಬಣ್ಣಗಳನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಹೋಳಿ ಸಂಭ್ರಮ ಸಾರುವ ಹಾಡುಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆ ಆಗುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಸಂಭ್ರಮಿಸಿದರು.
